04Riley and 1wave Finally Made a Song. It's Called “Blow My High.”
Friends since Riley was 15. He is 22 now. Brady pulled up at 10pm on a weeknight, and “Blow My High” is what came out of it.

Some collabs take a phone call. This one took seven years. 04Riley and Brady, who records as 1wave, have been friends since Riley was fifteen, and they only just got around to putting a record together. The record is called “Blow My High.” We asked both of them for a word on it. Neither one gave us a soundbite.

“Shoot we've been friends since I was 15. I'm 22 and we just now made a song finally, brady's alias “1wave” is newer but ground breaking in my opinion. 1wave finishes music, and brings a certain energy the world needs.”

The detail worth stopping on is the compliment Riley pays him: “1wave finishes music.” Anybody who has spent time around a scene knows how rare that is. Voice memos, unlabeled loops, half-built beats sitting in folders for years. Finishing is the whole job, and Riley named it first, before the sound, before the energy.
The rest is texture: a 10pm start on a weeknight, a session that ran until it was done, and a record called “Blow My High” that Riley files under cloud rap with hood classic ambitions. 1wave is a newer alias, so this is early. Get in now.

We passed the same question to Brady. What came back was not a soundbite.
“i'm a huge proponent for living in the moment and that's all 04 and I did when making “blow my high“. He brings a side out of me I'm not used to seeing and I'm grateful that I got to. This song was so freeing to make and fun to listen to and i hope y'all have as much fun listening as we did making it.”
“Riley's got a way of making you feel seen just by being himself. His music saved me a few times that way. So it's an honor that I finally got to work with him after all these years. I had a blast punching in with riley and it felt so good to walk out of a 2 hour studio session with a finished record. And what's so cool about that is I'm not sure it would've happened without riley snapping me out of my overthinking and keeping it moving even if it wasn't perfect. And now it is, even in its imperfections.”

Two hours, one finished record, and a producer talking openly about what it took to get out of his own way. The line worth sitting with: “And now it is, even in its imperfections.” That is the whole argument for shipping something, made better than most people manage.
Put the two statements side by side and they answer each other. Riley's read on Brady was that 1wave finishes music. Brady's read on Riley was that he is the reason this one got finished. Seven years of friendship, and each of them credits the other with the same thing.
